9. How does the Teflon® non stick material work?
The exceptional performance of Teflon® non stick is made possible by the characteristics of their unique main ingredient, Teflon® fluoropolymer resin.
DuPont® invented non stick surfaces for cookware and has been the leader ever since. They hold the majority of all patents granted in non stick technology. They are proud to say that they are the undisputed leader in research and development, quality assurance, non-stick performance, and consumer trust!
Unlike most other competitive non stick products, DuPont® Teflon® branded non stick products feature patented multi-layer technologies to ensure superior performance and durability:
A unique topcoat—for easy food release and easy cleanup.
Before a manufacturer is licensed to use a DuPont® non stick coating, they must submit their products to DuPont® to make certain that exacting quality standards are met. Once a manufacturer is licensed, DuPont® conducts periodic testing to ensure that those standards are consistently upheld. Finally, each manufacturer conducts in-house tests against their own quality standards.
When you see the Teflon® logo or "seal," you are guaranteed to get the quality, durability and performance you need for easier cooking and cleanup.

15. When will our order be delivered?
We post your order within two working days of receiving your confirmed payment and order.

16. How do I prevent the liner from sliding in the pan?
To make the liner attach better to the pan, you can always put a few drops of oil in the pan before placing the liner. This creates better contact between the liner and the pan, with the liner adhering to the pan’s surface and therefore promoting better heat transmission.

17. What happens to my liner when I overheat it and how can I prevent this?
If you overheat the pan liner you will notice that a discoloration appears where there is most contact between the liner and the hottest point of the pan. When this happens, you will need to reduce the heat. However, if you keep on heating the pan in this way and you exceed 260ºC, the liner and/or pan may be damaged if it reaches 350ºC. As a result, we advise you to heat the pan to its maximum for just a short time and then lower the heat to a maximum of 80%.

18. Can I use the pan liner in a non-stick pan?
This is no problem. However it is very important that you do not overheat the pan and/or liner.

22. I use a low fat / health / George Foreman® grill, can I use your non stick products with them?

39. I have a Pyrolytic oven cleaning programme, is your oven liner suitable for this oven?
Yes it is suitable for all ovens but must be removed before you use the Pyrolytic oven cleaning programme. All Pyrolytic oven manufacturers tell you to remove all the contents of your oven before using the Pyrolytic oven cleaning programme, so please remove our Oven Liner first.
Some people forget to remove their oven liner, so the intense heat vaporises the oven liner which is made from glass fibre mat impregnated with non stick PTFE. Both of these materials are authorised by the European and American Food and Drug Departments. If you accidently vaporise your oven liner then we recommend either of the following actions –
a. Brush out the debris and rinse the interior with bicarbonate of soda dissolved in warm water. Then dry the interior and following the oven manufacturer’s Pyrolytic cleaning programme again. Please note that this will not remove the white film caused by the glass fibre vaporising but it will ensure that your oven is clean, or
b. Phone the oven manufacturers Help Line, details should be in the oven handbook, or
c. If you don’t like the “white” finish then you have to either buy new oven interior panels or a replacement oven – both solutions are extremely expensive.

40. Do your products come with usage instructions?
Yes – every packet has instructions in English and other major international languages.

41. Will the cooking oil or fat in my deep fat fryer last longer?
Yes if you use the Deep Fat Frying Bags the debris such as breadcrumbs, flour, etc will not fall off the food and become burnt in the oil. It is this burnt food debris that adds “off” flavours and tastes to the cooking oil, so the use of the Deep Fat Frying Bags extends the life of it.

42. Can I make additional steam spray holes in the Iron Shield, Iron Shoe, Iron Cover?
Yes we have already created a standard pattern of steam spray holes in the Iron Shield, Iron Shoe, Iron Cover. We recommend that you punch additional holes in the Iron Shield, Iron Shoe, Iron Cover after fitting so as to ensure that all of your steam spray holes are spraying.

54. When using the toaster, my bag was damaged; how is this possible?
Depending on the brand of toaster, the heating elements may be close to the slots for inserting the slices. It is very important that the bag does not come in contact with these elements because they may burn a little hole in the bag. The bag itself is not inflammable, so you need not worry that the bag will catch fire.

55. What happens to my pan liner when I overheat it and how can I prevent this?
If you overheat the pan liner you will notice that a discoloration appears where there is most contact between the pan liner and the hottest point of the pan. When this happens, you will need to reduce the heat. However, if you keep on heating the pan in this way and you exceed 260ºC, the foil and/or pan may be damaged if it reaches 350ºC. As a result, we advise you to heat the pan to its maximum for just a short time and then lower the heat to a maximum of 80%.

56. What is Teflon®?
Teflon® is the brand name for poly-tetra-fluor-ethene (PTFE), a chemical connection that was discovered in 1938 by Roy Plunkett of the DuPont company in the American state of New Jersey. Teflon® was introduced as a commercial product in 1949.

Teflon® is a plastic with the lowest friction coefficient. It is used as non-stick layer in all sorts of pans. Teflon® is particularly non-reactive and consequently is used in all kinds of applications, from medicine to the storage and transport of reactive chemicals.

Teflon® is chemically inert and non-toxic, although at a temperature of above 260ºC its quality begins to deteriorate and above 350ºC it will begin to evaporate. By way of comparison, butter and other fats used to bake and roast begin to scorch and smoke above 200ºC. As a rule to prevent burning, meat should not be heated to more than 230ºC. Cooking utensils placed empty on a heated cooking plate can reach temperatures of over 350ºC. After research conducted in 1959 by the American FDA, Teflon® was approved to be used in cooking utensils. The research showed that any harm from vapours originating from the excessive heating of an empty pan is less than that of common oils and fats.

57. Do you accept PayPal, Credit and Debit cards?
YES we accept all these forms of payment. I am very sorry we do not accept American Express.

58. Up to what temperature can I heat these non stick products?
You can heat the liners without damaging them up to 260ºC. In the case of pan liners, we advise you to bake at a maximum capacity of 80%. Because there is no exact indication of the temperature on the stove, it is hard to determine when you might exceed 260ºC.

59. Can Teflon® damage my health?
No. Trust in the safety of Teflon® coated products is based on over 40 years of laboratory tests. What's more, the liners have been used worldwide without problems for many years, both in industrial and domestic kitchens. Our products have been certified in the USA by the FDA )Food & Drug Administration, and in Europe by various Health Departments and Agencies.

60. Can I use the foil on the BBQ?
Normally you can. However, we would like to inform you that we have a special BBQ tray in our range. Remember that neither product should come into contact with the flames and may not be heated above 260ºC. To prevent damage and overheating, it is best to place the products at a distance of at least 20-30 cm from the flames.
We recommend the liner is used on the hot plate only to avoid contact with direct flames. The new design BBQ's have a solid hot plate, not a mesh, and our liners are perfect for solid plate BBQ's.

61. Can I use the Iron Shield, Iron Shoe, Iron Cover on my Vaporelle iron?
No you cannot use this Iron Shield, Iron Shoe, Iron Cover with any iron that has a docking station, it is not compatible.
